The Friends of Aabroo is a USA based IRS approved 501(c)3 (Tax ID 47-4465834) charitable organization. Its mission is to financially support Aabroo Educational Welfare Organization. All donations are Zakat eligible. 100% of donations go to charity.

What is Aabroo?

Aabroo is an Urdu word which means dignity and honor.

Located in Lahore, Pakistan, Aabroo Educational Welfare Organization educates the children of domestic servants. These children live in the slums of Lahore, in shanties with no running water, electricity or sanitary facilities. Most of these children go to sleep hungry at night.

Aabroo’s mission is to educate these poor and desperate children and prevent them from becoming vagabonds, thieves, prostitutes, and give them hope for a better future.

The Pakistani government’s resources are limited and cannot provide services to all the underprivileged children. That is where organizations like Aabroo make a difference in transforming the lives of the poor and desperate children and their families.

Aabroo’s Funding

The primary source of funding for Aabroo is donation from individuals like you! Additionally, income from its solid waste recycling program covers roughly 1/3 of Aabroo’s yearly expenses of over $350,000.
