Peace Home Orphanage
The orphanage, which is equipped to accommodate up to 150 orphans, is currently housing 15 girls and 15 boys. Rubina Shakil, excited that this has become a reality, spent the first 3 months at the orphanage to ensure the children were well settled into their new home. This is very typical as she puts her whole heart and soul into everything she does for these desperately poor children, and it is this love and sincerity that is behind the phenomenal growth and success of Aabroo Welfare and Educational Foundation.
New and Updated Projects
Aabroo has launched many new projects in order to decrease their dependence on donations and further expand their sources of income:
- Aabroo’s Integrated Farming with livestock for milk production and animals for Qurbani.
- Aabroo Barkat Hussein Library is now open to the public for a small monthly fee.
- Aabroo Sewing Center is offering a full sewing course for a small monthly fee.
- Aabroo Beauty and Training Center is a full-service salon to draw in potential students and give employment to students interested in this profession.
- Aabroo Studio rents out bridal gowns and suits for marriage to the needy.
- Aabroo Gym is built from donated items has a small monthly fee.

Over the years, your donations have helped to provide all students of Aabroo Welfare Schools from pre-school through high school with:
- Free admission and annual tuition.
- Books and stationary free of charge.
- Four uniforms and two pairs of shoes every year.
- Food and nutrition as each student gets a freshly cooked, nutritious midday meal.
- Potable water: All the Aabroo Welfare Schools are situated in urban slums developed along polluted drains so most of the students suffer from vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice, gastritis, liver infection, and hepatitis-C.
- All Aabroo Welfare Schools are provided with RO water filtration plants that provides safe drinking water to students, parents and local community.
- Free Medical and Health assistance, testing, and ambulatory services for students and their parents is provided through Aabroo Izhar Medical Centers.
